Always a great question! It is important to note that asexuality is an umbrella term, which means there are many types of asexual identities that exist on a spectrum. In other words, asexual folks or “aces” may identify in different ways within the ace community.
A common way that asexuality is talked about is that Aces may not feel sexual feelings or may not be motivated to pursue these feelings. However, while Aces may not have sexual feelings, they may want to pursue platonic or romantic relationships, may engage in sex or not engage in sex. Aces may have a partner, or children and be any gender, age or background.
